Deep dive into Field Hockey, Volleyball & Netball β Why I love them so much!
Field hockey is not just a sport for me; it's a passion that challenges me physically and mentally. Itβs a fast-paced game played on grass or artificial turf, where two teams compete to score goals using curved sticks and a small hard ball.
The game requires excellent hand-eye coordination, speed, endurance, and teamwork. I love how every position on the field has its own unique responsibilities, whether itβs defending, attacking, or controlling the midfield.
Field hockey has been around for centuries, with roots tracing back to ancient civilizations, but the modern form started in 19th century England. Itβs now an Olympic sport enjoyed worldwide, especially popular in countries like India, the Netherlands, Australia, and the UK.
Volleyball is one of my favorite team sports after field hockey. Whether playing indoors or at the beach, I enjoy the fast pace and teamwork needed to keep the ball in play.
Volleyball requires quick reflexes, strong communication, and excellent timing. Every point is an opportunity to showcase skill in serving, spiking, blocking, and setting. Plus, the social aspect is amazing β itβs a sport where friends and strangers bond quickly.
